Family of Four Identified in Tragic North Hills Murder-Suicide Investigation

NORTH HILLS, Calif. — Authorities have identified the four family members who were found dead inside a North Hills home in what investigators believe was a murder-suicide that unfolded on May 27.

The victims have been identified as Marine Basmajian, Khajag Basmajian, 31, their 2-year-old son Alec Basmajian, and their newborn daughter Ella Basmajian, who was just six days old.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire at a residence on Londelius Street at approximately 7:50 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered all four family members deceased inside the home.

Investigators say preliminary evidence indicates that Marine Basmajian fatally shot her husband and two children before taking her own life. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner later determined that all four victims died from gunshot wounds to the head.

The devastating loss of an entire family, including two young children, has left the local community in shock and mourning. Neighbors described the incident as heartbreaking, while loved ones and community members continue to seek answers in the wake of the tragedy.
