🚨 Philadelphia Murder Suspect Arrested in Atlantic City After Months on the Run
A Philadelphia man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting earlier this year has been arrested in Atlantic City.
Authorities announced that Dameon Anderson, 44, was taken into custody on Sunday on Kentucky Avenue after being sought for the April 6 killing of Savion Pollard-Poulson, 26.
According to investigators, Pollard-Poulson was fatally shot during a verbal dispute inside the Market Grocery store located in the 4000 block of Market Street in Philadelphia. Police allege that after the shooting, Anderson fled the scene on a motorized scooter.
Philadelphia homicide detectives obtained warrants charging Anderson with murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon on April 20.
The U.S. Marshals Service Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force later determined that Anderson had been staying in Atlantic City. Investigators said he was observed in several locations throughout the city, including near the Boards AC area and local businesses.
Following an extensive search, authorities located and arrested Anderson without incident on Sunday.
The case now moves back into the court system as prosecutors pursue charges related to the death of 26-year-old Savion Pollard-Poulson.
🕊️ Our thoughts remain with the family and loved ones of Savion as they continue to seek justice and healing.
