Hyderabad Youth Shot Dead During Pizza Delivery in Philadelphia — Family Calls It a “Trap”

💔 He left Hyderabad to build a future. He never made it home.

Anshul Kuncha, a 28-year-old from Hyderabad, Telangana, was shot and killed while delivering pizzas in North Philadelphia, USA, in the early hours of June 6.

Around 12:30 a.m., Anshul responded to a pizza delivery order at an apartment in the Raymond Rosen Homes housing complex on Edgley Street. According to investigators, the address was vacant. The pizza boxes were later found untouched inside the empty unit.

Police say Anshul was shot multiple times at close range. Surveillance footage reportedly shows two individuals in dark clothing following him from his vehicle moments before the attack.

Nothing was stolen.

That detail has led investigators and family members to fear that the delivery order may have been used to lure him to the location.

Anshul had moved to the United States nearly four years ago to pursue higher education. He earned a Master’s degree in Business Analytics in 2024 and was working full-time at a multinational company. On weekends, he delivered pizzas to earn extra income and support his goals.

Now, a family in Telangana is preparing to receive his body instead of celebrating his achievements.

His sister, Tanvi, has spoken publicly about her heartbreak, describing the incident as a “trap” and calling for answers. The Indian Consulate in New York is assisting the family and coordinating with U.S. authorities as the investigation continues.

Philadelphia police are pursuing leads and have announced a reward for information that could help identify those responsible.

A young man crossed oceans chasing opportunity. His journey ended in a senseless act of violence.

🕊️ Rest in peace, Anshul Kuncha.

🙏 Please keep his family in your thoughts and share this post so more people hear his story.
