🚨 Portsmouth Homicide Investigation Underway After Fatal Shooting Claims Life of 33-Year-Old Antwan DeShawn Bell

Authorities in Portsmouth are investigating a late-night shooting that left one man dead and two others injured.

According to police, officers responded to reports of gunfire around 11:53 p.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of Virginia Avenue. Upon arrival, they found Antwan DeShawn Bell, 33, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second shooting victim was located nearby and transported to a hospital for treatment. Investigators later learned that a third man had arrived at a hospital on his own and reported being injured in the same incident.

Police have not yet released information regarding a suspect, possible motive, or the circumstances leading up to the shooting. Detectives continue to gather evidence and interview potential witnesses as the investigation remains active.
