A community is mourning the tragic death of a young businesswoman who was found deceased inside her tuckshop in Boitumelo on Wednesday morning.
According to reports, the woman was well known for opening her shop very early each day, usually between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. When residents noticed that the business had not opened as usual, concern began to grow.
Community members reportedly contacted her father to check on her welfare. Upon entering the shop, he allegedly found his daughter lying unconscious on the floor.
Emergency services were called to the scene, but paramedics sadly declared her dead.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of death, and investigations are ongoing.
The incident has deeply affected local residents, particularly following unconfirmed reports that the victim may have been assaulted the previous night. Investigators have not publicly confirmed any connection between those allegations and her death.
As the community awaits answers, local crime prevention groups have indicated that they will closely monitor the investigation and continue advocating for justice should any criminal wrongdoing be established.
