Authorities have announced an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in Stockton earlier this year.
According to investigators, officers responded to the area of Pixie Drive and Doray Court at approximately 10:15 p.m. on April 17, 2026, following reports of a disturbance involving gunfire.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Homicide detectives launched an investigation and have continued working the case in the weeks that followed.
Police say their investigation ultimately led to the identification of Luis Legg, 22, as a suspect in the homicide.
On June 10, 2026, officers with the Stockton Police Department, assisted by the United States Marshals Service Task Force, located and arrested Legg in Riverbank.
Authorities confirmed that Legg was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on a homicide charge.
Investigators have not yet released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting or the identity of the victim.
