Family, friends, and members of the Kenyan community are gathering today, Saturday, May 30, 2026, to bid a final farewell to Zacchaeus Talam, popularly known as Tom, whose tragic death in the United States left many heartbroken.
The 46-year-old Kenyan national had been reported missing after he was last seen in Bethany, Oregon, on April 29, 2026. Days of uncertainty ended in sorrow when his body was discovered on May 9.
Tom’s death sent shockwaves through the Kenyan diaspora community in Oregon, where many had joined efforts to search for him and prayed for his safe return.
As loved ones lay him to rest in Kelelwa, Baringo County, questions surrounding his death remain unanswered, with investigations by authorities still ongoing.
Today, a grieving family says goodbye to a beloved son, relative, and friend whose life ended far too soon.
