Two people were killed and another seriously injured after a white Toyota sedan crashed into a roadside guardrail on the Cha-am–Pran Buri bypass road in Phetchaburi province early Friday.According to police, the car reportedly veered off the road near the Chang Taeng Kradad intersection in Cha-am district before slamming into a steel barrier that pierced through the vehicle from the windshield to the rear window, leaving the sedan completely mangled.
A man and woman were pronounced dead at the scene, while an elderly woman sustained serious injuries. Rescue workers used hydraulic equipment to free her from the wreckage before rushing her to hospital.
Authorities said clothing found inside the car bore the name “Dr Paithaya,” and investigators believe the deceased male victim may have been the driver.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash, with early reports suggesting the driver may have lost control or fallen asleep behind the wheel.
