🚨 Construction Worker Found Dead Along Roadside in Boracay; Investigation Ongoing

A 35-year-old construction worker was found dead along a roadside in Sitio Ilig-Iligan, Barangay Yapak, on Boracay Island on the morning of May 29, authorities said.

The victim, a resident of Roxas City, Capiz, had been working in the area prior to his death.

According to an initial investigation by police and Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO), the man was found lying face down and unresponsive. Investigators noted visible injuries, including a black eye and abrasions on his right arm.

A security guard at the workers’ barracks told authorities that the victim returned intoxicated on the evening of May 28 and allegedly fell from his bed several times. Due to disruptive behavior and causing a disturbance, he was reportedly asked to leave the staff house.

The victim was last seen at approximately 10:50 p.m. that night. He was discovered deceased the following morning.

Authorities have transferred his remains to Roxas City, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
