Woman Critically Injured in Garfield & State Shooting Identified as ‘Boogie Boogie’
A 43-year-old woman identified by friends and family as “Boogie Boogie” is in critical condition after being shot multiple times near Garfield and State. Authorities confirmed she sustained gunshot wounds to the head, shoulder, and buttocks during the attack.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene shortly after reports of gunfire and transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where she remains under intensive medical care.
Social media has since flooded with emotional posts and prayers from loved ones. Kevin McGowan shared on Facebook, “PLEASE GOD PRAY FOR MY FAMILY… YOU GOT THIS Boogie Boogie.” Others, including Markita Reed and Taira M. Moore, posted messages of support, urging strength and recovery for their friend.
As of now, no arrests have been announced, and investigators are still gathering information about what led to the shooting.
Police are urging anyone with details about the incident to come forward as they continue to search for the suspect and piece together the events leading up to the attack.
