Victim of Fatal Shooting in South St. Louis Identified as Stanley Scott
The victim of a fatal shooting early Sunday, October 26, in South St. Louis has been identified as Stanley Scott, a 32-year-old man.
St. Louis police responded to the shooting around 12:20 a.m. in the 2800 block of Gasconade Street. Upon arrival, they found Scott critically injured and witnesses attempting to assist him. Officers provided first aid until EMS arrived, and he was rushed to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Family and friends have since taken to social media to mourn the loss of Scott, sharing heartfelt tributes and expressing disbelief. One emotional post read, “I love you, brother ๐”, while another said, โStan the man, this hurts so much. Gone too soon.โ
The circumstances surrounding Scott’s death remain under investigation, and police have not made any arrests or released additional details about the suspect or motive. Detectives are canvassing the area for witnesses or surveillance footage that could help solve the case.
