Victim Identified in Uxbridge Triple Stabbing

The victim of Monday’s fatal triple stabbing in Uxbridge has been identified as 49-year-old Wayne Broadhurst, who was tragically killed while walking his dog in Midhurst Gardens.

Police say the attack occurred around 5 p.m. on October 27, when emergency services were called to reports of multiple stabbings. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, Mr. Broadhurst died at the scene. Two other victims—a 45-year-old man, who sustained life-changing injuries, and a 14-year-old boy, who has since been released from hospital—were also attacked during the incident.

Neighbors described Broadhurst as a “respectful and quiet” man who “kept to himself” and was always cautious around children when walking his dog, believed to be a cocker spaniel. “He was just an average, normal bloke—very respectful,” one local resident told reporters.

Police confirmed that Safi Dawood, 22, of Midhurst Gardens, has been charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, and possession of an offensive weapon. Dawood appeared in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

Authorities added that Mr. Broadhurst and Dawood were not known to each other, while the two surviving victims were acquaintances of the accused.

Detectives continue their investigation as the Uxbridge community mourns the loss of a kind and well-respected neighbor.
