Victim Identified in Fatal Head-On Crash on State Road 31
Family members have identified one of the victims killed in Sunday morning’s head-on collision on State Road 31 as 22-year-old Jerren Robinson of Arcadia.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. near Farabee Road. Investigators say Robinson was driving north on SR-31 when his vehicle crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a southbound car driven by a 63-year-old woman. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene by Charlotte County Fire & EMS.
The roadway was shut down for several hours as emergency crews worked to clear the wreckage and investigators processed the scene. It reopened in both directions around 8:30 a.m.
Robinson’s family shared that they are devastated by his sudden loss and ask the community to keep them in their prayers during this difficult time. His mother is not taking calls at this moment, but friends and loved ones who wish to reach out may contact the family directly via social media.
The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
