Two Killed in Fatal Crash on Pyramid Way; Major Traffic Delays Reported

SPARKS, Nev. — A deadly crash on Pyramid Way has left two people dead and caused major traffic disruptions Friday afternoon, according to Nevada State Police.

The collision occurred near Disc Drive, prompting the closure of all southbound lanes of Pyramid Way while emergency crews responded. Authorities confirmed that two individuals were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not yet been released.

Northbound traffic has also been heavily affected, with lanes reduced to a single route near Queen Way. Drivers in the area are facing long delays, and officials are urging motorists to avoid the corridor and use alternate routes whenever possible.

Investigators remained at the scene through the afternoon, working to determine the cause of the crash. Cleanup crews are also clearing debris and assessing roadway safety before reopening lanes.

Officials estimate that the closure of southbound lanes could last three to four hours, depending on the progress of the investigation.
