Travis Payton Arrested in Connection to Monroe Triple Homicide
Monroe, LA – Authorities have made a significant arrest in connection with the tragic triple-homicide that rocked Monroe earlier this week. On October 28, 2025, at approximately 2:56 a.m., officers from the Monroe Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 2000 block of Grammont Street. Upon arrival, first responders discovered the lifeless bodies of 27-year-old Jamal Bosley, 25-year-old Jaborris Simpson, and a two-year-old female child.
The violent loss of three lives, including that of a young child, sent shockwaves through the community. Investigators worked diligently to piece together the events leading up to the tragedy, and their efforts—combined with valuable tips from the public—led to the arrest of 24-year-old Travis Payton. He has been charged with three counts of First-Degree Murder, Home Invasion, and Criminal Conspiracy.
