Teen Killed, Suspect Identified in Halloween Night Shooting in Williamsport
Williamsport, PA – Police are investigating a deadly shooting that left a teenager dead following a Halloween night party in Williamsport. The Williamsport Bureau of Police confirmed that officers were initially called to reports of gunfire at a party on Friday night, located in the 800 block of Park Avenue.
According to investigators, 25-year-old Zaire Jones-Wallace got into a fight during the party and allegedly opened fire, striking a 15-year-old victim multiple times in the chest. As police rushed to that scene, they received a report of another shooting just blocks away.
Responding officers arrived at First Avenue and Park Place, where they found a second 15-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower abdomen. The teen was transported to UPMC Williamsport for emergency treatment but later died from his injuries.
Authorities have not yet released the names of the deceased victims. Police are continuing to investigate the connection between the two shootings and whether both incidents are directly related.
Jones-Wallace has been identified as a suspect in the initial shooting, and detectives are gathering additional evidence as they work to piece together the events of the night.
