Suspicious Death Investigation Underway in Bannock County
The Bannock County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation into the suspicious death of a young man discovered on private property in Inkom, Idaho, on the morning of Saturday, November 1.
While authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity, family members have identified him on social media as Jonas Dario Diaz, a beloved son, brother, and grandson. His grandfather, Ronald Diaz, shared a heartfelt message on Facebook confirming the loss, writing, “Our grandson Jonas Diaz, aka Dario Diaz, was found deceased this morning. Please keep our family in your prayers.”
Jonas’s sudden passing has left his loved ones searching for answers. His brother posted an emotional plea online, asking anyone with information about what happened to reach out privately, promising confidentiality. “We’re just at a crossroads,” he wrote. “We don’t know what happened. The cops won’t tell us anything.”
The Bannock County Sheriff’s Office and the County Coroner’s Office have ordered an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. Officials emphasized that there is currently no ongoing threat to the community and urged patience as the investigation continues.
