Suspect Arrested After Pregnant Woman Seriously Injured in Rimrock Domestic Dispute
A shocking incident in Rimrock, Arizona, has left a pregnant woman hospitalized after a violent domestic dispute turned life-threatening. Authorities say the incident unfolded Sunday afternoon, around 3 p.m., near Top of the Morning and Beaver Creek Road.
Deputies arrived to find a 29-year-old woman lying in the road with severe injuries. She was airlifted to a hospital in the Phoenix area, where she remains in serious condition. Thankfully, medical staff have confirmed that her unborn child is unharmed.
According to investigators, the woman was injured during an argument with 30-year-old Jesus Junior Ruiz Hernandez. During the altercation, the victim reportedly fell out of a moving car. Authorities believe Hernandez then ran over her with his vehicle before fleeing the scene.
A manhunt for Hernandez lasted several hours until he was located late Sunday night. He was arrested and booked on multiple charges, including hit-and-run, endangerment, and disorderly conduct. Deputies also recovered the suspect’s white vehicle, believed to have been involved in the assault.
The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the disturbing case and is asking for the public’s help. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately.
