Remembering John Vinson

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of John Vinson on Friday, September 5, 2025. To write these words feels unreal, as it is impossible to capture the depth of love, gratitude, and now grief that surround his life and memory.

John was a man who carried light into every room he entered. Whether coaching on the tennis court, fishing or cycling with friends, standing by the grill preparing a meal, or sharing music and a beer, he always created a sense of belonging. He made space for everyone at the table—and you’d likely leave that table laughing.

He was more than a father, friend, and mentor—he was a constant reminder of the joy found in life’s simplest moments. His generosity of spirit, warmth, and humor will forever be remembered by the countless people who were fortunate enough to know him.

In honor of John, we will gather to celebrate his life this Wednesday in Tallahassee at The Hub at Feather Oaks. This is not just a farewell, but a chance to reflect on a life that touched so many with love, laughter, and compassion. All are welcome, and we ask that you share this invitation with those who may not see it here.

Though his sudden passing leaves an irreplaceable void, John’s spirit will live on in the memories, lessons, and love he gave so freely.
