Man Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on I-69 North of Bloomington Identified as Johnathon Clark

A tragic head-on collision early Saturday morning claimed the life of a 33-year-old Nashville man, identified as Johnathon Clark, after he drove the wrong way on Interstate 69 north of Bloomington.

According to the Indiana State Police, the crash occurred around 6 a.m. when Clark, driving a Jeep southbound in the northbound lanes, collided head-on with a GMC Sierra pickup operated by a 29-year-old Bloomington man. The violent impact caused both vehicles to come to rest in the median, with Clark’s Jeep overturning and catching fire.

Emergency responders arrived quickly, but Clark was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries. The pickup driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for treatment. His current condition has not been released.

Authorities shut down the northbound lanes of I-69 between East Sample Road and the State Road 45/46 interchange for approximately three hours while troopers investigated and crews cleared the wreckage.

Investigators are still working to determine why Clark was traveling in the wrong direction and whether impairment or other factors played a role. The Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Team continues to examine evidence from the scene.

66-year-old Woman , Critically Injured After Being Hit by Alleged Drunk Driver on Long Island

A 66-year-old woman was left critically injured after being struck by a pickup truck in East Rockaway on Friday evening, October 24, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

The crash occurred around 5:59 p.m. at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Denton Avenue, police said. The woman suffered severe trauma after being hit by a 2024 Chevrolet pickup truck.

She was rushed to a local hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

Authorities identified the driver as Adrian Raghunanan, 26, of Queens, who was found to be driving while intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Raghunanan was arrested and charged with Felony Vehicular Assault and Driving While Intoxicated. His arraignment was scheduled for Saturday, October 25, at First District Court in Hempstead.

The incident remains under active investigation by Nassau County detectives.

E-Bike Rider Killed by Suspected Drunk Driver in Long Island Crash

A 28-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning, October 25, when a suspected drunk driver struck his e-bike in Melville, according to Suffolk County Police.

Authorities identified the victim as Joseph Melendez, of Wyandanch, who was riding a Fly Wing gas scooter northbound on Bagatelle Road around 1:06 a.m. when a 2018 Subaru Forester made a left turn onto Eastbound Express Drive South and collided with him.

Police said the driver, Jennifer Kirkpatrick, 24, of Melville, was found to be driving while intoxicated and was arrested at the scene. Melendez was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead.

Kirkpatrick sustained minor injuries and was treated at Huntington Hospital before being charged with Driving While Intoxicated. She was held overnight and scheduled for arraignment in First District Court in Central Islip.

Both vehicles have been impounded as part of the ongoing investigation. The Major Case Unit is asking anyone with information about the crash to call 631-852-6553.

Woman Critically Injured in Garfield & State Shooting Identified as ‘Boogie Boogie’

 A 43-year-old woman identified by friends and family as “Boogie Boogie” is in critical condition after being shot multiple times near Garfield and State. Authorities confirmed she sustained gunshot wounds to the head, shoulder, and buttocks during the attack.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene shortly after reports of gunfire and transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where she remains under intensive medical care.

Two Dead, 13 Injured in Robeson County Mass Shooting; Victims Identified as Jessie Locklear and His Son.

A late-night party in eastern North Carolina ended in tragedy early Sunday morning when gunfire erupted, leaving two people dead and 13 others injured, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Burnis Wilkins said deputies responded to reports of a mass shooting around 3:00 a.m. on Dixon Drive, just outside Maxton, where more than 150 people had gathered for a large outdoor party.

When deputies arrived, chaos had already unfolded—witnesses said dozens of attendees fled the area before law enforcement could secure the scene. Investigators later identified the two deceased victims as Jessie Locklear and his son.

Several other individuals sustained critical injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals for emergency treatment.

Sheriff Wilkins said early evidence indicates the shooting was an isolated incident, with no ongoing threat to the public.

“The investigation is moving quickly,” Wilkins said. “We know there were many people present when this occurred. If you saw something or know something, we need you to come forward to help bring justice to the victims and their families.”

The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, with support from multiple law enforcement agencies, continues to process the scene and interview witnesses as detectives work to determine the motive and identify all individuals involved.

Authorities are investigating a fatal accident that occurred early Saturday morning along Rostraver Road in Westmoreland County.

Murder Investigation Launched After Teen Rinneau Perrineau Fatally Stabbed in Battersea

Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of 19-year-old Rinneau Perrineau, who was stabbed in broad daylight on Lavender Hill in Battersea earlier this week.

Officers were called to the scene around 3:26 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, following reports of a stabbing. Emergency services, including London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance, responded immediately. Photos from the scene showed multiple police cars and ambulances, as well as a cordon stretching across Beauchamp Road and Ilminster Gardens.

Rinneau, known affectionately as “Ren” by family and friends, was treated at the scene for stab wounds and transported to hospital in critical condition. Despite the best efforts of medical staff, he died on Friday, October 24.

His family, supported by specially trained officers, released a heartfelt statement:

“Ren was loved by many; he was always around his family. He will be dearly missed.”

Police have confirmed that one person has been arrested, and detectives are conducting urgent enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the attack. The incident is currently believed to be isolated.

Acting Borough Commander Amanda Mawhinney, who leads policing in the area, said:

“Our thoughts are with the victim’s loved ones at this terrible time. This was a shocking crime committed in broad daylight. A teenager’s life was taken, and his family and friends have suffered an irrevocable loss. Our officers are making every effort to bring those responsible to justice.”

Devoted Mother Daisha Ketchum Remembered as Community Demands Justice

The community is heartbroken over the tragic loss of Daisha Ketchum, who was killed in a senseless act of violence on October 17, 2025, just hours before she was set to travel to St. Louis, Missouri, to attend her 20th high school reunion at University City High School.

That evening, Daisha was simply doing what she always did—being a caring and protective mother. Her 19-year-old son had received a message from an acquaintance saying that a Nike Tech jacket he wanted was available for pickup around midnight. Concerned for his safety, Daisha insisted on accompanying him so he wouldn’t have to meet anyone alone.

Shortly after midnight, the two arrived at a location just a block from their home. A yellow truck pulled up nearby. As her son stepped out to meet the seller, an individual wearing a black ski mask emerged. A single gunshot rang out, prompting Daisha to yell for her son to get back in the car.

In a desperate attempt to flee, Daisha sped away as the attackers chased them through the neighborhood. The pursuit ended tragically when the yellow truck rammed their vehicle, causing it to crash through a brick wall and into a nearby yard. Both Daisha and her son were ejected from the car.

Daisha died on impact.
