Urgent Search for Missing 18-Year-Old Violet from Denver — Authorities Say Her Life Is in Immediate Danger

Police and family members are pleading for the public’s help in finding 18-year-old Violet, who has gone missing under life-threatening medical circumstances. She was last seen around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, near Denver Union Station, and investigators believe she may be traveling with a companion named Isaiah.

Authorities have classified Violet’s disappearance as a critical missing and endangered case, not a runaway. She suffers from severe anorexia nervosa and serious heart complications that require immediate medical care.

“This isn’t just a missing person case — it’s a fight to save my daughter’s life,” Violet’s mother said. “She could go into cardiac arrest at any moment without treatment.”

Violet is described as 5’1”, weighing 100 pounds or less, with long wavy brown hair and bluish-hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing an all-black outfit with pink lettering, a light pink North Face hat, and pink running shoes, and carrying a khaki backpack with pink key rings.

Her companion, Isaiah, 19, is a white male with curly blonde hair, last seen in a black hoodie, black sweatpants, gray sweater underneath, and green backpack. Police believe they could be hitchhiking or traveling by train toward California and have discarded their cell phones, making them difficult to trace.

Anyone who spots Violet or Isaiah is urged not to approach but to call 911 immediately with any details about their location.

Officials stress that every hour counts in bringing Violet home safely. Please share this alert widely — your awareness could help save her life.

64-Year-Old Guardian Arrested After 3-Year-Old Accidentally Shot in Wells-Goodfellow Neighborhood

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — A tragic accident in the Wells-Gooadfellow neighborhood has left a 3-year-old boy hospitalized after an unintentional shooting Thursday afternoon. The incident occurred just after 1 p.m. on October 23, 2025, at an apartment located in the 5800 block of Selber Court.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), officers responded to reports of a child shot inside the residence. Upon arrival, police found the young boy suffering from a gunshot wound to his hip. Emergency Medical Services quickly transported him to a local hospital, where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.

Investigators determined that the boy’s guardian, identified as 64-year-old Kalvin Fayne, was cleaning out a closet when he left a firearm unsecured. The child reportedly discovered the gun and accidentally discharged it, striking himself.

Authorities later confirmed that Fayne, a convicted felon, was arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the First Degree and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

SLMPD’s Child Abuse Unit is leading the investigation, which officials say is standard procedure in cases involving accidental shootings of minors.

Police continue to emphasize the importance of firearm safety and responsible gun storage to prevent similar tragedies. “This incident serves as a heartbreaking reminder of how quickly accidents can occur when guns are not properly secured,” said an SLMPD spokesperson.

The child remains hospitalized in stable condition as the investigation continues.

1 Dead, 6 Injured in Shooting During Homecoming at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania

A night meant for celebration turned tragic at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania when gunfire erupted during the school’s Homecoming weekend, leaving one person dead and six others injured, according to officials.

The shooting occurred Saturday night outside the International Cultural Center, where crowds had gathered for Homecoming festivities. Authorities say seven people were struck by gunfire as chaos broke out, with several others injured while trying to flee.

“We’re devastated to announce that one person has died and six others have been struck by gunfire,” said Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe during an early Sunday news conference. One person carrying a gun has been detained, though investigators believe there may have been multiple shooters. The motive remains unclear.

Officials emphasized that this does not appear to be a targeted mass attack on the university. Local, state, and federal agencies, including the FBI, are now assisting with the investigation.

Students described scenes of panic as people ran for cover, with several being trampled amid the confusion. Multiple victims were transported to nearby hospitals in Delaware for treatment.

The campus lockdown has been lifted, but the shooting site remains an active crime scene. The university announced that counseling services will be available to students beginning Sunday morning.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro expressed his condolences and pledged state support, saying, “Join Lori and me in praying for the Lincoln University community.”

The tragedy follows another shooting near Howard University in Washington, D.C., just one day earlier, marking another violent blow to historically Black colleges during Homecoming season.

Authorities arrested a 55-year-old man, identified as Harold Newton Keene, following a shooting Saturday afternoon inside the Austin Central Library that left one person seriously injured and triggered a temporary shelter-in-place in downtown Austin.

The Austin Police Department (APD) said officers responded to reports of gunfire shortly after 12:00 p.m. at the library, located at 710 W. César Chávez Street. Upon arrival, police and Austin-Travis County EMS found one victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The individual was transported to a local hospital in serious but stable condition.

Assistant Police Chief Lee Rogers confirmed that the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. Following a citywide search, Keene was located and arrested in South Austin around 1:25 p.m. The library was evacuated, and the shelter-in-place order was lifted after his apprehension.

19-Year-Old Identified in Fatal Colorado Springs Crash Along Uintah Street

Authorities have identified the young driver killed in a devastating crash along Uintah Street earlier this month as 19-year-old Isai Martinez, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

The collision occurred around 11:45 p.m. on Friday, October 10, when officers responded to reports of a vehicle that had crashed into a house near the intersection of Uintah Street and 22nd Street. No one inside the home was injured, though the impact caused significant damage to the structure. Police confirmed that no passengers were in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
