Mugshot of Heidelberg Shooting Suspect Tylar Goodloe Released as He Faces Murder Charges
Tylar Jarod Goodloe, the man accused of shooting and killing two people at Heidelberg High School’s homecoming on October 10, 2025, has been released into federal custody.
Goodloe, originally held at the Jasper County Jail, was transferred to the Forrest County Jail after being taken into custody by the United States Marshal’s Service for taking a weapon on school property—a federal offense with stricter penalties than state charges. He has not made bond.
According to Jasper County Sheriff Randy Johnson, there is a possibility that additional suspects could be transferred into federal custody as well.
Two other suspects, Jadarius Page and Jabari Collins, have bonded out after being charged with accessory after the fact and possession of a deadly weapon on educational property, respectively. Their bonds were set at $25,000.
Seven people in total have been arrested in connection with the tragic shooting, which resulted in the deaths of two victims on the school grounds and a third who later died from injuries sustained during the incident. Authorities are continuing to investigate, and federal gun and tampering charges may be added.
