Killingly Woman Charged with Murder in Fatal Shooting of Andrew Olson

A 65-year-old Killingly woman has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 39-year-old Andrew Olson on Monday night, according to the Connecticut State Police.

At approximately 9:21 p.m. on October 27, Troopers from Troop D responded to a reported shooting at 23 Pratt Road in Dayville. Upon arrival, officers found Olson suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to Day Kimball Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The suspect, Michelle Yeagher, was located inside the residence and detained at the scene. After consultation with the Windham County State’s Attorney’s Office, Yeagher was charged with Murder, Carrying a Firearm While Under the Influence, Risk of Injury to a Child, and Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree.

She is being held on a $1 million bond and was arraigned on October 28 at Danielson Superior Court. Yeagher is next scheduled to appear in court on December 11.

Police say the investigation remains active and ongoing.
