Decatur Man Charged with Domestic Violence After Stabbing
DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — The Decatur Police Department has arrested a man in connection with a stabbing that occurred during a domestic dispute on Wednesday afternoon.
According to authorities, Morgan County 911 received a call at approximately 1:33 p.m. on September 10, 2025, reporting a domestic disturbance at a residence located at 2025 Danville Park Drive SW. When officers arrived, they discovered an adult male suffering from a stab wound. Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene, and the victim was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. His current condition has not been released.
Following an investigation, police identified 24-year-old Kelan Lang as the suspect in the case. Lang was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Morgan County Jail, where he was charged with second-degree domestic violence. His bond has been set at $5,000.
Officials have not released additional details regarding the relationship between Lang and the victim, nor have they provided further information about what led to the altercation. Police say the case remains under investigation, and more updates will be provided as they become available.
