MINNEAPOLIS — Authorities have released the identities of the two women who were killed in a violent crash Thursday morning involving a fleeing carjacking suspect.

The victims have been identified as Marisa Casebolt, 25, and Liberty Borg, 25, both of Minneapolis.

According to investigators, the deadly crash occurred after a suspect in a carjacking attempt led police on a pursuit in north Minneapolis. The suspect’s vehicle collided with the victims’ car, causing fatal injuries. Casebolt and Borg were pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say the suspect, whose identity has not yet been released, was taken into custody following the crash.

The Minneapolis Police Department described the incident as a “profound and devastating loss,” noting that both women were young members of the community with bright futures ahead of them.

Wife of China Grove Police Lieutenant Arrested for Fatally Stabbing 9-Year-Old Son

China Grove, N.C. — Authorities have arrested 50-year-old Wilma Medina-Ehanrie on charges of murder after she allegedly fatally stabbed her 9-year-old son, David Medina-Ehanire.

Police confirmed that Medina-Ehanrie, the wife of a China Grove police lieutenant, was taken into custody at the family’s residence following the tragic incident. Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures, but David was pronounced dead at the scene.

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) has been called in to assist with the case due to the family’s connection to law enforcement. Officials say Medina-Ehanrie is being held without bond as the investigation continues.
