In Loving Memory of Keith Nunnally

It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of my dear friend, lead singer, and creative partner, Keith Nunnally, whose voice and spirit helped shape JM Silk into one of house music’s pioneering acts. From the very beginning, Keith and I were bound by a shared passion—touring from city to city, electrifying clubs and stages across the nation and around the world.

Right now, I find myself in New Jersey for the Weequahic House Music Festival, a place where Keith and I created unforgettable memories. I feel especially grateful that just last year, he joined me for our S&S Experience at the Pritzker Pavilion in our hometown of Chicago. Since that time, Keith faced health challenges, but I was fortunate to visit him in the hospital and share videos of that performance. The smile on his face in that moment is one I will carry with me forever.

Yesterday, during my DJ set, I paused to honor Keith’s memory with a special dedication before welcoming Curtis McClain, Chantay Savage, and Ann Nesby to the stage. It was my way of reminding everyone of the bond JM Silk shared with New Jersey, a scene we visited countless times at venues like Zanzibar, Club 88, and Sensations.

Keith’s voice, energy, and friendship were vital to my journey from DJ to artist, producer, and songwriter. His presence will forever live in the music, on the stage, and in my heart.

Rest in peace, Keith—you will never be forgotten.

Honoring the Legacy of Coach Al Fracassa

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Coach Al Fracassa, a legendary leader, mentor, and cornerstone of the Brother Rice and Shrine High School communities. For over five decades, Coach Fracassa was far more than just a coach; he was a second father to thousands of young men, shaping not only their athletic abilities but their character and values.

Coach Fracassa turned down offers from the Detroit Lions and Michigan State Spartans to remain devoted to high school football, a decision that transformed generations. When he retired at the age of 82, he held the title of Michigan’s winningest high school football coach, finishing with an incredible 430 wins, 15 Catholic League championships, and nine state titles. More than 300 of his players went on to play in college, with 13 reaching the NFL. His accolades included being named NFL High School Coach of the Year (1997), National Coach of the Year (2002), and induction into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame (1999).

Yet, his greatest legacy was not measured in trophies or statistics. Coach Fracassa instilled in his players the values of hard work, integrity, and faith. He taught them to “do it better than it’s ever been done before” and “do it right all the time,” lessons that extended far beyond the football field.

Today, we honor a man whose influence will never fade. Rest in peace, Coach Fracassa. Your life was truly a victory, and your legacy will forever inspire.
