Viral Video Exposes Alleged Double Standard After Autistic Man’s Fentanyl Overdose

A woman has gone viral online after exposing what she describes as a glaring double standard in the justice system following her autistic brother’s death from a fentanyl overdose.

In the viral post, she claims her brother obtained the fatal fentanyl from Alyssa Canfield, a conventionally attractive white woman who admitted to dealing drugs. Despite this, Canfield allegedly avoided charges by agreeing to work as a confidential informant. Instead, police arrested Montez Forest, a Black man her brother had never even met.

The woman refers to the leniency shown toward Canfield as “pretty privilege turned plug,” arguing that her looks and informant status allowed her to escape accountability while shifting blame onto someone else.

She further highlighted what she described as a troubling pattern in Canfield’s past: multiple hit-and-run crashes, involvement in helping a minor run away, and being present during drug-related shootings. According to her, none of these incidents led to meaningful legal consequences.

By contrast, Forest’s record shows repeated police attention—each encounter resulting in an arrest or court appearance. The family believes this shows how racial bias and privilege intersect in the criminal justice system.

The video has sparked heated debate across social media, with many users echoing the family’s frustration and demanding answers about why accountability appeared one-sided in this case.

For the grieving sister, the viral moment isn’t about attention—it’s about exposing disparities she says cost her brother his life.

Heartbreak in Hartselle: Families Speak After Deadly Teen Crash

HARTSELLE, Ala. — A community is mourning after 17-year-old Tristan Hollis was killed in a crash that his family calls both “horrific” and “senseless.”

Authorities say the tragedy unfolded when Priceville Police attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Archie Brandon Hale. Hale refused to pull over, leading officers on a chase that ended when he collided with a minivan in Hartselle carrying Hollis and three other teens.

Hollis’ mother, Rachel Moore, shared her grief publicly, describing him as her only child. “Yes, he selfishly and maliciously took my son’s life, but in the end, my son is in a far better place than what is about to be bestowed amongst him,” she wrote, also asking for prayers for all families involved—including Hale’s.

Six people were injured in total: Hale, his passenger, Hollis, and three boys in the minivan identified as Braxton Wales, 16-year-old Noah Prater, and 14-year-old Gavin Prater.

Wales’ uncle, Kevin Pylant, called the tragedy life-altering. “One child has lost his life, and three teenagers’ lives have been changed forever,” he said, adding that Braxton is recovering but faces a long road ahead. He emphasized that beyond physical recovery, the emotional toll will be immense and urged continued prayers.

The Prater brothers’ grandmother said her heart is broken for Hollis’ family as she stays by Noah’s hospital bedside while Gavin’s father tends to him at another facility.

Hollis will be laid to rest Thursday at Hartselle City Cemetery.

GirlsDoPorn Owner Sentenced to 27 Years for Sex Trafficking Hundreds of Women

SAN DIEGO — Michael Pratt, the founder of GirlsDoPorn and GirlsDoToys, has been sentenced to 27 years in federal prison for orchestrating what prosecutors called a “sprawling sex trafficking empire” that exploited hundreds of young women.

Pratt, 42, pleaded guilty in June to conspiracy and sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion. Prosecutors said he and his co-conspirators lured women—mostly ages 18 to 21—through false modeling ads, promising their videos would never appear online. Instead, the footage was posted on websites and promoted across free pornography platforms, generating millions in revenue.

Victims testified they were threatened with lawsuits, stranded without flights, and sometimes physically blocked from leaving hotel rooms during shoots. Many described lifelong trauma, with some changing their names or undergoing surgery to hide their identities.

At his sentencing, more than 40 victims addressed Pratt. One told him, “I am not your victim. I’m your reckoning… We are an army of survivors sharing our truth, and we have won.” Another called him a predator whose ego blinded him from accountability, adding, “It is your turn now to suffer.”

Pratt fled the U.S. in 2019, sold his assets, and was placed on the FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted list before being captured in Spain in 2022 and extradited in 2024.

He received the longest sentence among conspirators. Co-defendant Ruben Andre Garcia was sentenced to 20 years, Matthew Wolfe to 14 years, and Theodore Gyi to four years. Office manager Valorie Moser is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 12.

California Man Accused of Dating App Murders Previously Used White Mask in Burglary Spree

LOS ANGELES — A California man accused of luring victims through a dating app and killing them has been charged with multiple felonies, prosecutors announced this week.

Rockim Prowell, 34, of Inglewood, faces two counts of murder with special circumstances, one count of attempted murder, carjacking, burglary, and assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. If convicted, he could face the death penalty or life in prison without parole.

Investigators allege Prowell met his victims online before attacking them. His first known victim, Miguel Angel King, 51, was killed in July 2021. King’s car was found near Prowell’s home, and his remains were discovered weeks later in the Angeles National Forest.

In August 2023, Robert Gutierrez, 53, disappeared after arranging a meeting near Prowell’s residence. His body has not been located, but authorities found his vehicle in Prowell’s garage along with additional evidence linking Prowell to his disappearance.

Prosecutors say Prowell struck again in February 2025, when he allegedly bound, robbed, and beat a 40-year-old man he had met online. The victim escaped but was later run down by Prowell in a vehicle, leaving him with a broken leg.

Authorities also revealed Prowell is on probation for a string of Beverly Hills and Los Angeles burglaries between 2019 and 2021, during which he wore a silicone mask resembling a White man’s face. The disguise was recovered by police during prior investigations.

The case remains under review as prosecutors consider pursuing the death penalty.

Emergency responders quickly arrived on scene, where they found the male motorcyclist suffering from significant injuries. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Authorities confirmed that the driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. A crash reconstruction team was deployed to piece together the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Extended Surveillance Footage Reveals Fatal Stabbing on Charlotte Light Rail

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Newly released surveillance footage has shed further light on the fatal stabbing of 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska, a Ukrainian refugee, aboard Charlotte’s Lynx Blue Line light rail train on August 22, 2025.

The video, compiled from several synchronized cameras, shows the suspect, 35-year-old Decarlos Brown Jr., rise from his seat behind Zarutska before producing a pocketknife and attacking her while she was distracted on her phone. After the assault, Brown is seen walking through the train with the weapon in hand, leaving blood behind.

At one point, he removed his bloodied hoodie and waited calmly for the next station before exiting. Passengers nearby appeared either unaware of the severity of the incident or chose not to intervene.

The killing, described by officials as a “brutal and senseless act of violence,” has reignited debate over public safety on Charlotte’s transit system.

Brown, who is homeless, has a lengthy criminal record dating back to 2014, including armed robbery and multiple assault convictions. He was released from prison in 2020, re-arrested in 2021, and remained free despite his record at the time of the attack.

Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles thanked media outlets that withheld graphic video clips “out of respect for Iryna’s family,” but critics argue that downplayed coverage highlights broader issues of crime and accountability.

City Council candidate Edwin Peacock and former Matthews Mayor Jim Taylor have both called for stronger safety measures on public transit, warning that community confidence in the system is at risk.

Zarutska, who was working at Zepeddie’s Pizza, was still in her work uniform at the time of her death. The restaurant paid tribute, saying, “We lost not only an incredible employee, but a true friend… her light will be missed every single day.”

Brown remains in custody facing murder charges.

West Liberty Woman Faces Serious Charges in Child Abuse Case

West Liberty, KY – A Morgan County woman is facing a series of disturbing charges connected to child sexual abuse. Authorities confirmed that Kayla Conley, 40, of West Liberty, has been indicted on multiple counts involving minors.

According to court records, Conley faces charges of complicity to first-degree sexual abuse involving a juvenile under the age of 16. She has also been charged with complicity to second-degree rape involving a female under 14 years of age, as well as several counts of complicity to third-degree rape involving a female under 16. In addition, Conley is charged with complicity to third-degree sodomy involving a female under 16.

Child exploitation and abuse cases are taken very seriously under Kentucky law. First-degree charges typically carry the most severe penalties, while second- and third-degree charges also bring significant consequences. In Loving Memory of Marjorie Eileen Amighetti (1928–2025)

In Loving Memory of Marjorie Eileen Amighetti (1928–2025)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Marjorie Eileen Amighetti, who left this world peacefully in her sleep on September 8, 2025, at the age of 97.

Born and raised in central Illinois during the Great Depression, Marge learned resilience and determination from an early age. Her father worked as a tenant farmer on land owned by George J. Mecherle, founder of State Farm Insurance, while her family also shared close ties with the Belt family, founders of Steak ’n Shake. From both families, she drew inspiration in perseverance, hard work, and visionary spirit—values that guided her throughout her life.

In 1969, Marge created what became one of St. Louis’ most beloved culinary treasures: the Amighetti’s Special sandwich. She devoted eight months to perfecting its recipe, testing it with St. Ambrose students until it earned unanimous approval. “I did something right,” she would often say with a smile. Her creativity and determination helped transform Amighetti’s into a cherished institution, with flavors that continue to delight generations.

Known affectionately as “Fiesty,” a nickname lovingly given by her father, Marge lived life with energy, faith, and passion. She often said, “Tony Bennett left his heart in San Francisco; I left mine on The Hill.” Her favorite words—“Trust in God, believe in yourself, and dare to dream”—were not only a motto but a way of life.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Friends and loved ones are invited to honor her memory by sharing stories, meals, and moments that reflect the legacy she built with love.
