52-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot Inside Chicago Business
CHICAGO — Police are investigating a fatal shooting on the city’s South Side that left a 52-year-old man dead Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Chicago Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 3:41 p.m. inside a business located in the 800 block of East 79th Street. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots, prompting an immediate emergency response.
Authorities said the victim, whose name has not yet been released, was struck three times during the attack. First responders provided aid at the scene before transporting him to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition. Despite life-saving efforts by medical staff, he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
