Police Seize 23 Guns From 13-Year-Old in Washington; Boy Allegedly Idolized Mass Shooters

SEATTLE, Wash. (AP) — A 13-year-old boy from Pierce County, south of Seattle, has been arrested after authorities seized 23 firearms and ammunition from his home. Police say the teen appeared fixated on mass shooters and had posted online threats about killing people.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office reported that a SWAT team raided the boy’s home around 1 a.m. Saturday, following social media posts dating back to June. These posts allegedly showed the teen posing with weapons, dressed like past school shooters, and included messages such as, “when i turn 21 iam going to kill people” and “its over! my time is almost hear!”

Officers found tactical-style rifles mounted on walls, unsecured handguns throughout the home, and AR-style magazines hidden under a turtle habitat in the boy’s room. Some magazines had references to mass shootings, including Columbine. Investigators also found a crude drawing featuring a known mass shooter’s face.

The boy pleaded not guilty Monday to five charges — four felonies — including unlawful firearm possession, making a threat to bomb or injure property, and unlawful possession of fireworks. He remains in juvenile detention pending a Sept. 17 pretrial conference and a Sept. 22 detention review.

His mother told KOMO-TV her son “had no intention of harming anyone,” suggesting the posts were an attempt to “be cool” online. Police continue investigating whether the parents could face charges for improper firearm storage or related offenses.

Under Washington law, minors are generally prohibited from possessing firearms except in limited circumstances such as hunting or shooting competitions.

Six Guatemalan Men Arrested After Deadly Hit-and-Run at Florida Trailer Park

POLK COUNTY, Fla. — What began as a weekend party at Willow Oak Mobile Home Park in Polk County ended in tragedy and multiple arrests after a 21-year-old man was found dead inside his home early Sunday.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to the trailer park after 911 dispatchers received a report of the man’s death. His injuries were consistent with being run over by a vehicle. Investigators determined the victim had been at a Saturday night gathering where “nearly everyone” had been drinking.

According to a witness, the man was lying in a driveway when Ponciano Cinto-Ramirez, 52, allegedly got into a van, reversed over him, and drove off. Partygoers shouted warnings, but Cinto-Ramirez left and entered another trailer. The victim was later dragged into his own home, though police have not said by whom.

Deputies traced the van to lot #32, where several people inside initially refused to cooperate. Two provided fake identification. Interviews revealed all six men in the trailer were Guatemalan nationals living in the U.S. without legal status.

Cinto-Ramirez faces felony counts of resisting arrest, driving without a license causing death, and leaving the scene of a crash involving death. Rigoberto Lopez Morales, 22, and Jacinto Lopez Morales, 46, were charged with resisting arrest. Alfredo Cinto-Ramirez, 48, Leonel Cinto Lopez, 24, and Ramiro Cinto Lopez, 23, face resisting arrest and false ID charges; Ramiro also faces a firearm possession charge.

All six are under ICE holds for potential deportation. Sheriff Grady Judd called the incident “a neighborhood party that ended with a young man dead and six illegal aliens in jail.”

Victim Identified in Fatal U.S. 60 Crash in Henderson County

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Authorities have identified one of the victims in last week’s deadly crash on U.S. 60.

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that 43-year-old Brian Deaton was killed in the two-vehicle collision. Officials say Deaton, who was from the area, was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The driver of the other vehicle, identified as Justin Phillips, was rushed to a Louisville hospital with serious injuries. His current condition has not been released.

Investigators say they are still working to confirm the identity of the second victim who was killed. The Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office is leading that process, noting that the severity of the damage has complicated efforts to positively identify the driver.

The crash occurred late last week along U.S. 60, a stretch of road that residents have frequently raised concerns about due to speeding and reckless driving. Officials say those community concerns are now being taken seriously.

In response, the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office announced that increased patrols will begin on the bypass starting Wednesday in an effort to promote safer driving and prevent further tragedies.

“This is a difficult investigation because of the extent of the damage, but our goal is to provide answers to the families as quickly as possible,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

The investigation remains ongoing, and officials say more information will be released as it becomes available.

Man Sentenced to 18 Years for Murder Outside Tyler Taqueria

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) – A 54-year-old man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for the murder of a Tyler restaurant owner.

On Monday, a Smith County jury found Scotty Lee Goble of Frost guilty of killing Heriberto “Eddie” Ramirez in October 2024. Ramirez was shot and killed in front of his family’s business.

After hours of deliberation, jurors determined the crime was committed in “sudden passion,” reducing the potential punishment range to 2–20 years. Goble was sentenced to 18 years and fined $10,000. He will be eligible for parole in nine years.

During the sentencing phase, Ramirez’s wife gave emotional testimony about the impact of his death on their family. “Eddie was the love of my life. We’re not OK. We are broken. The girls, I see the pain in their eyes,” she told the court.

She described how their young daughters still pray for him, leave space for him at the table, and even show milestones like a lost tooth to his photograph.

The state had pushed for a life sentence, arguing Goble could have walked away. The defense maintained it was a case of sudden passion, saying Goble acted in the heat of the moment without time to reflect.

Jurors sided with the defense’s argument, handing down the 18-year sentence instead of the potential life term.
