Armed Suspect Crashes After High-Speed Police Motorcycle Chase in San Bernardino County
A high-speed police pursuit involving an armed suspect on a motorcycle ended in a dramatic crash after a vehicle deliberately struck the fleeing rider, authorities said.
The chase began after the suspect reportedly shot and injured a police officer, prompting a countywide alert and rapid response from multiple law enforcement agencies. The armed suspect attempted to evade authorities at high speeds through several city streets and highways in San Bernardino County.
Video footage from the pursuit shows the suspect weaving dangerously between vehicles before a car suddenly veered into his path, ramming the motorcycle and sending the suspect crashing onto the roadway. Officers quickly moved in to secure the scene and provide aid.
Authorities have not yet released the suspect’s identity or the condition of the officer who was shot prior to the chase. The driver who intervened in the pursuit is also being questioned by investigators.
