Teen Critically Injured in Shooting at Jennings McDonald’s

JENNINGS, Mo. — A teenager is in critical condition after being shot outside a McDonald’s restaurant in Jennings on Wednesday evening.

According to the City of Jennings Precinct, officers responded to the 8900 block of Jennings Station Road just after 6:00 p.m. following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers located a male teen suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

The victim was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where he is receiving treatment for life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary information suggests the shooting stemmed from an altercation between the victim and a group of other teens. Investigators are working to determine what led up to the confrontation and whether the individuals involved were known to each other.

A significant police presence remained at the scene Wednesday night as detectives processed evidence and spoke with witnesses. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity, and no arrests have been announced at this time.
