Dallas Police Investigate Brutal Motel Homicide, Suspect in Custody

Dallas, TX – A gruesome homicide at a Dallas motel has prompted a major police investigation after a victim was killed in a violent stabbing attack Tuesday morning.

Around 9:30 a.m., Dallas police responded to reports of a stabbing at the Downtown Suites motel, located in the 3400 block of Samuell Boulevard, just off Interstate 30 near Tenison Golf Course.

When officers arrived, they discovered a victim lying on the motel sidewalk with multiple injuries caused by an edged weapon. Dallas Fire-Rescue also responded, but despite emergency efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary reports indicate the victim was stabbed several times. Unconfirmed accounts from the scene suggest the assault may have involved a beheading, though investigators have not publicly confirmed this detail.

At least 15 police units were called to the scene, with detectives erecting partitions around the victim’s body as they processed evidence. A nearby alcohol store was also taped off, though officials have not clarified its connection to the crime.

Police confirmed that a suspect is in custody and charges are pending. The identities of both the suspect and the victim have not yet been released.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine a motive.
