UPDATE: Fatal Shooting on Milwaukee’s North Side Under Investigation

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Tuesday night on the city’s north side.

According to officials, the incident happened on September 9, 2025, at approximately 10:43 p.m. in the 400 block of W. Locust Street, near N. 4th Street and Vel R. Phillips Avenue.

Police say the victim, a 30-year-old man, was shot multiple times, including wounds to the chest and groin. Despite life-saving measures from first responders, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity has not been released pending family notification.

Investigators are working to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting. At this time, Milwaukee Police say they are seeking an unknown suspect or suspects, and no arrests have been made.
