GirlsDoPorn Owner Sentenced to 27 Years for Sex Trafficking Hundreds of Women
SAN DIEGO — Michael Pratt, the founder of GirlsDoPorn and GirlsDoToys, has been sentenced to 27 years in federal prison for orchestrating what prosecutors called a “sprawling sex trafficking empire” that exploited hundreds of young women.
Pratt, 42, pleaded guilty in June to conspiracy and sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion. Prosecutors said he and his co-conspirators lured women—mostly ages 18 to 21—through false modeling ads, promising their videos would never appear online. Instead, the footage was posted on websites and promoted across free pornography platforms, generating millions in revenue.
Victims testified they were threatened with lawsuits, stranded without flights, and sometimes physically blocked from leaving hotel rooms during shoots. Many described lifelong trauma, with some changing their names or undergoing surgery to hide their identities.
At his sentencing, more than 40 victims addressed Pratt. One told him, “I am not your victim. I’m your reckoning… We are an army of survivors sharing our truth, and we have won.” Another called him a predator whose ego blinded him from accountability, adding, “It is your turn now to suffer.”
Pratt fled the U.S. in 2019, sold his assets, and was placed on the FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted list before being captured in Spain in 2022 and extradited in 2024.
He received the longest sentence among conspirators. Co-defendant Ruben Andre Garcia was sentenced to 20 years, Matthew Wolfe to 14 years, and Theodore Gyi to four years. Office manager Valorie Moser is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 12.
