Oklahoma Couple to Appear in Court as Search for Missing Child London Kerr Continues

The search for London Kerr, a young girl missing for over three years, continues as her caregivers, Ashley Rowland and Joshua Denton, prepare to face court on child neglect charges. London, who would now be 5 years old, disappeared under disturbing and unclear circumstances, prompting renewed urgency from law enforcement and the community.

A Troubling Case

Court documents outline disturbing details of alleged abuse, including reports that Rowland once put hot sauce in London’s eyes. Witnesses—including other children in the home—described Denton hitting London with a wooden paddle and even shooting her with a BB gun. One teenager also claimed they were duct-taped to a chair and beaten with a belt.

Rowland initially lied to investigators, claiming London was with her biological father in Georgia. She later changed her story, saying she gave the child to a man named “Carlos,” who she believed could be London’s father. However, her accounts have shifted multiple times, casting serious doubt on her credibility.

Law Enforcement Involvement

The Oklahoma City Police Department has now taken over the case, emphasizing the urgency of finding London. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children recently released an age-progressed photo to aid the search.

“We don’t have very credible information from the people who had custody of this child,” said MSgt. Dillon Quirk. “So time is of the essence.”

Call for Help

Authorities urge anyone with knowledge of London Kerr’s whereabouts to contact the Oklahoma City Police Department immediately.
