Victim Identified in Chula Vista Halloween Party Shooting

Authorities have identified one of the two teenage victims killed in Friday night’s Halloween party shooting in Chula Vista as “Yung Eli,” according to sources close to the investigation.

The shooting occurred around 11:17 p.m. in the 00 block of East Prospect Street, where officers found two teens, ages 15 and 17, suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to UCSD Medical Center, where they later died despite emergency efforts.

Police say the shooting erupted following an argument during a crowded Halloween gathering. The motive remains under investigation, and detectives are still searching for the suspect or suspects responsible.

Investigators believe that witnesses or attendees may have recorded video of the altercation or shooting on their cell phones. Authorities are urging anyone with footage or information to come forward.

This remains an active and ongoing homicide investigation. Police have not released the identity of the second victim pending family notification.
