On October 27, 2025, just before 9 p.m., 21-year-old Rekeymia Shatalya Henley surrendered to authorities in connection with a triple homicide that occurred on October 18 along Williams Street in Macon, Georgia. Henley was taken into custody at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

Henley is accused of fatally shooting Quantayrius DeMonte Townsend, Brandon Devonta Thomas, and Markell Bonner Jr. She has been charged with three counts of murder, one count of aggravated assault, and one count of tampering with evidence, and was denied bond.

Details from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office indicate that after the shootings, a Black woman and a Black man wearing ski masks arrived at Piedmont Hospital’s emergency entrance in a vehicle. The man, later identified as Townsend, was suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers observed two firearms inside the car, described as a black AR-style rifle and a black AK-style rifle. The woman reportedly told hospital staff, “I gotta go tell his mother,” before leaving the scene.

Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the triple homicide. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office as the investigation remains active.
