FBI Releases Images of Person of Interest in Charlie Kirk Assassination

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has released the first images of a person of interest connected to the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University.

The bureau shared two surveillance photos on social media, urging the public to help identify the individual. The man appears to be tall and slender, dressed entirely in dark clothing, with wraparound sunglasses, a dark hat, and a long-sleeve shirt featuring what looks like an American flag.

“We are asking for the public’s help identifying this person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk,” the FBI Salt Lake City office said in a statement.

Kirk, 31, was fatally shot on Wednesday, September 10, while speaking at a student-sponsored event on campus. Authorities believe the gunman fired from an elevated rooftop before fleeing the area on foot.

The release of these images marks the most significant development since the recovery of a rifle allegedly used in the attack. Investigators are also analyzing ammunition engraved with ideological messages, which was discovered inside the weapon.

Anyone who recognizes the individual is urged to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit a digital tip via the bureau’s official website.

The case remains an active and rapidly evolving federal investigation, with authorities stressing the urgency of public cooperation in identifying the suspect.
