76-Year-Old Robert Harrison Killed in Fatal Crash on I-12 in Denham Springs
A 76-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning on Interstate 12 in Denham Springs. The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. near mile marker 8 in the westbound lanes.
According to the Denham Springs Police Department, the vehicle suffered a tire blowout, which caused the car to overturn. The driver, Robert Harrison, from Port Allen, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger, whose identity has not yet been released, was taken to a local hospital with injuries. Their condition is unknown at this time.
The Denham Springs Police Department is continuing to investigate the crash to determine all contributing factors. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation remains ongoing.
