29-year-old Driver, Nicholas Leon Randall Jr, Identified in Weekend Fatal Crash in Alliance
Authorities have identified the victim of a deadly early-morning crash in Alliance as 29-year-old Nicholas Leon Randall Jr. of the Massillon area, according to the Stark County Coroner’s Office.
The collision occurred around 2:23 a.m. Saturday, November 1, at the intersection of South Arch Avenue and East State Street. Investigators say Randall was driving a Kia southbound on Arch Avenue when he entered the intersection and collided with a westbound 30-foot box truck. The force of the impact caused the truck to overturn onto its side.
Randall sustained fatal injuries at the scene. His passenger was taken to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital for treatment; their current condition has not been released.
Alliance Police Sgt. Campbell confirmed that investigators are reviewing the circumstances of the crash, including traffic light data and speed factors. The official crash report was not yet available at the time of publication.
Authorities are urging drivers to remain vigilant, particularly during early morning hours when visibility is low and fatigue can impair reaction times. The investigation remains ongoing.
