27-Year-Old Plymouth Man Identified in Fatal Acushnet Motorcycle Crash
Authorities have identified the motorcyclist killed in a single-vehicle crash in Acushnet over the weekend as Micah “Moses” Nason, 27, of Plymouth, Massachusetts.
According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, the crash occurred around 10:10 p.m. Saturday, October 25, in front of 444 Main Street at the intersection of Heritage Road and Main Street. Nason was operating a 2010 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when it sustained catastrophic damage and came to rest against a nearby home.
Emergency responders from the Acushnet Fire Department, assisted by Rochester Fire Department, found Nason unconscious at the scene and immediately began CPR. He was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, where he succumbed to his injuries early Sunday morning, October 26.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The Acushnet Police Department, along with the State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, is investigating the cause. Officials have not yet determined contributing factors and are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area to contact police at (508) 998-0232.
Friends and family describe Nason as a kind and genuine person loved by many. A GoFundMe has been launched to support his wife, Ali Nason, during this difficult time.
As investigators work to determine what led to the crash, authorities are reminding motorists to use extra caution on the roads, particularly as fall weather creates slicker conditions and reduces nighttime visibility.
