26-Year-Old Woman Fatally Shot in South Side Chicago Identified as Arianna Bosney
CHICAGO, IL — A young woman has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred Monday afternoon on Chicago’s South Side. Authorities confirmed that 26-year-old Arianna Bosney, also known as “Ari,” was killed in what police believe to be a targeted attack.
The shooting happened around 4:48 p.m. on October 27, 2025, near 76th Street and Vincennes Avenue. According to the Chicago Police Department (CPD), officers responded to reports of a person shot inside a vehicle. Upon arrival, they found Arianna in the driver’s seat of a black 2014 Chevy Cruze suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency personnel transported her to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was later pronounced deceased.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Arianna was stopped at a traffic light when another vehicle pulled up alongside her and fired several shots before speeding away. No suspects are currently in custody, and detectives from CPD’s Area One Division are leading the investigation.
