The Toledo community is mourning the loss of 19-year-old Jasmine Queen, who was tragically killed early Sunday morning in a shooting outside a south Toledo business plaza.

According to the Toledo Police Department, the incident occurred around 3 a.m. near the intersection of Hill Avenue and South Reynolds Road, following a gathering at The Weekend restaurant and lounge that spilled into the parking lot. Officers arrived to find multiple people shot. Jasmine, who had sustained at least one gunshot wound, was transported to a nearby hospital where she later died.

Two other victims, both around 19 or 20 years old, were also injured but are expected to survive. Authorities have not yet identified any suspects, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Jasmine Queen was an employee at Doc Watson’s on Byrne Road, which announced it would close temporarily in her memory. Friends and coworkers remembered her as a “beautiful soul with a bright future” and someone who “brought warmth and laughter wherever she went.”

Police are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111. Anonymous tips are welcome as investigators work to bring justice for Jasmine and her family.
